Position & Perks

We’re looking for a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team! This position plays a key role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of our restaurant locations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in general maintenance, including carpentry, tile, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC/refrigeration, and takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service.

This is a full-time hourly position eligible for overtime, and includes use of a company vehicle for travel between assigned restaurant locations throughout Northern & Central NJ.

 

A valid driver’s license and clean MVR are required.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen equipment.

  • Handle general carpentry, tile work, painting, and minor construction repairs.

  • Troubleshoot and repair lighting, outlets, switches, and fixtures.

  • Support equipment installation and facility improvement projects.

  • Ensure heating, plumbing, ventilation, and alarm systems remain fully functional.

Preventative Maintenance & Inspections

  • Conduct regular inspections of restaurant facilities, building systems, and equipment.

  • Identify issues early and recommend cost-effective, long-term solutions.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and warranty documentation.

Vendor & Cost Management

  • Coordinate and oversee outside contractors when necessary.

  • Verify quality and timeliness of vendor work.

  • Manage tools, parts, and materials to control costs and reduce downtime.

Vehicle & Tool Management

  • Maintain company-issued vehicle in clean and road-ready condition.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and properly maintained.

Collaboration

  • Partner with restaurant management to address facility needs quickly and professionally.

  • Communicate clearly with the Facilities Manager on maintenance status and priorities.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades (carpentry, tile, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC).

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel to multiple locations.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR required).

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks as needed.
