Position & Perks

Reporting to Operations, the Marketing Specialist helps develop, track, execute, and monitor Community Marketing programs. They will be a Brand Champion by building brand awareness and creating community connections through networking, fundraisers, relationship building and grassroots marketing activities at the local level.

 

As a field-based support position, this is a hands-on position that will spend 4 days in the filed and 1 day remote/at the corporate office. This position will include some nights and weekends and require the reimbursed use of personal vehicle for daily travel within assigned territory.

 

This position is based out of our Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn markets and require you to reside local to our locations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations leaders to plan and execute community connection and promotional activities.
  • Source, develop and support community connections and partnerships with local schools, non-profit organizations, businesses, and other community organizations.
  • Support and participate in restaurant community connection and promotional activities (will include some nights and weekends).
  • Ensure concept integrity and consistency in all local messaging and promotions.
  • Develop and distribute community concept collateral materials.
  • Main focus on Community Marketing, tracking and outreach and Marketing Department Assistance
  • Responsible for office mailings, sponsorship, fundraiser and youth incentive program management
  • Assistance with photoshoots and local events
  • Asset Management
  • Coordinate & develop PR strategy in partnership with Operations
  • Coordinate with Operations lead to finalize and proof outreach content, layout and pricing
  • Provide ROI analytics and other metrics to measure effectiveness of activities and budget spend.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or a related field
  • 1+ years field marketing experience in the Restaurant, Beverage, Hospitality, or Retail industry preferred
  • Graphic Design, HTML, Social Digital experience/proficiency a plus
  • Multi-unit / site support strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Live local to our Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens, market
  • Self starter with a passion and flair for networking.
  • Fluent collaborator with the ability to build strong relationships and influence others.
  • Highly organized and detailed leader with an ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with hands on approach.
  • Food and beverage professional or enthusiast.
  • Strong professional presence, judgment and decision making.
  • General understanding of business principles.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, Microsoft Office, and typical office equipment (e.g.  Telephones, copier, fax machine, Email, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in proofing and creating collateral materials and branding
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated Local Store Marketing expertise
  • Strong Social Networking presence, influence and know how
