Position & Perks

We are looking for an analytical individual, with good people and problem-solving skills, to add value to our payroll team. The Payroll Coordinator will use UKG Pro software to compensate employees and managers accurately and timely and is responsible for all areas related to payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, import, process and review payroll data
  • Create direct deposit files and distribute paychecks
  • Maintain documentation and reports
  • Provide great customer service to support operations
  • Work together with the Payroll team and other departments
  • Requires a reliable and dedicated individual

 

Qualifications

  • Understanding of payroll software and related computer applications
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) proficiency – Strong Excel skills a plus
  • Advanced math skills and solid analytical abilities: calculate figures, amounts, and percentages, and apply concepts of mathematics relating to financial calculations
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot; Resourceful with exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with all disciplines and levels
  • Ability to manage people effectively
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Experience with high volume, multiple state payroll processing is preferable
  • Knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements is preferable
  • Must have initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Reliability and dedication to follow payrolls through to completion
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing demands
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, organize, and manage time efficiently
  • Restaurant or hospitality experience a plus
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1-3 years hands on Payroll experience preferred
  • Experience in UKG Pro, a plus
