Responsibilities

 

• Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning specific tasks and ensuring team members are prepared for each day

• Responsible for the training and development of team members on their shift(s)
• Contributes to a team environment by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments on their shift
• Follow operational policy and procedures, including those for food safety/sanitation and safety/security
• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture
• Must be proficient in each area of the kitchen in order to assist wherever needed
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and ensure proper set up and breakdown of the entire kitchen including kitchen equipment and prep areas
• Ability to manage time effectively while meeting all job responsibilities
• Maintains a positive work environment for team members during each shift

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience with kitchen management processes and training, including but not limited to placing and receiving orders, writing prep lists, performing quality line checks, coaching team members on food safety, food quality, productivity, etc.
  • Enthusiastic and professional attitude must be displayed at all times
  • Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities
  • Ability to remain productive during slow times and switch to a fast-pace quickly when business dictates
  • Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to communicate efficiently to help keep all team members informed
  • Ability to work alone, multitask, and accomplish all responsibilities of the shift with minimal supervision
  • Mobility required during the entire shift
  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 21
